Summer Sunshine {Solstice}

Last Thursday, for the Summer Solstice, I wore bright yellow and florals and after work, we headed to the beach! We brought dinner there, ate overlooking the ocean, dipped our toes in the freezing cold water, and walked in the sand and visited our jetty, where we touched the lighthouse for good luck!

It was such a gorgeous day, and it felt so special and magical, frolicking in the first bits of summer sun. The summers here in Santa Cruz aren’t always sunny, and it’s been about 60-70 degrees every day, usually grey and foggy with some sun in the afternoon, but the Solstice was truly sunny and warm!

Outfit info: yellow top | flower skirt – Heritage 1891, old | Upena sandals in Mustard/bubbly – Olukai, bought on Poshmark (use code CARYNBEE for $5 if you sign up for Poshmark!)

We stayed outdoors until the last light, and it’s a tradition I love to uphold each year. This summer, I’m looking forward to a wedding (I’m maid of honor), two close friends having babies, lemonade, Independence Day, fireworks, beach walks, watermelon, barbecues, and long days filled with friends and loved ones.

What are your favorite summer activities? I always love inspiration for fun things to do!

xoxo
