Summer is officially here and for me, that means getting outside and exploring any chance I get! Today, we took a little hike in the Forest of Nisene Marks in Aptos, California. It is so green and beautiful there, and it makes me feel peaceful and at one with the earth.
My mom asked for my love and I to take her hiking, so she finally got to enjoy one of our favorite spots! Afterward, we took her antiquing and it’s been a pretty fun weekend so far!
Mom and I shed our shoes to walk in the creek for just a little while, but as you can see, we love our Merrells! I love that I can adventure with my mom and that she is ready to go barefoot with me, in the water, so I can get a better shot. She’s pretty awesome.
There were lots of blackberry and raspberry bushes on the trail, and even some ripe raspberries! I enjoy finding little flowers on our hikes.
These little blue flowers were so small and adorable, and I loved how bright the yellow flowers were against all the green.
Oh, and of course I have to look for some ferns.
It was such a fun morning connecting with my love, my mom, and Mother Nature. I can’t wait to take more hikes this summer!
