Hi there! I’m just back from a trip north to Armstrong Woods in Guerneville, California. It’s about 30 minutes west of Santa Rosa, and it is such a beautiful little town. I love it there! It was very foggy and rainy, but we managed to sneak over to Armstrong Woods before the rain started pouring.
“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out until sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.” -John Muir
There is something about being out in nature that speaks to my soul, that feels like home. It’s a wonderful feeling.
The trees are so tall, it makes you feel minuscule. But somehow you feel like you were meant for this, this Earth. We need to treat Nature better than we do, and treat our Earth with more kindness and respect. Recycle, reuse, use less water, donate clothing instead of throwing away trash, and if you can, compost! That’s one thing I can’t do where I live that I would love to do.
Also, if you have the time, try to get outside! It’s wonderful for your body and your spirit.
Look at these coral mushrooms I found! Apparently, these are safe to eat; I discovered later upon looking them up.
Take some time to sit by the ferns above a river under a redwood tree. It will change you deep within.
Where’s your favorite place to opt outside? Tell me in a comment below!
xoxo
