“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” – L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
Hello friends! I can’t believe it’s October already – I feel like there’s been a weird time warp this year with Covid and quarantine, but here we are all the same. October means autumn is in full-swing around here. I’ve already decorated and started entering my coziest time of the year!

Knowing it’s my favorite time of the year, I had to prepare for all the fun ahead by doing one of my favorite things: I made a list. Ha! A bucket list, of all the fun and amazing things I hope to do this autumn season. So, without further ado, here it is…
Autumn Bucket List
- Take an autumn hike through the redwoods
- Bake a pie
- Visit a pumpkin patch
- Carve pumpkins
- Watch Hocus Pocus
- Have a bonfire
- Simmer potpourri on the stove to make our house smell amazing
- Enjoy a favorite autumn drink
- Enjoy a caramel apple
- Get dressed up for Halloween
- Make chili
- Bundle up + go stargazing
- Have a scary movie night
- Look for fall foliage
- Walk around downtown’s historic district
- VOTE
- Celebrate my birthday
- Celebrate Thanksgiving
- Knit the blanket I started for my husband last year (!!!)
- Cozy up and enjoy the extra time at home

I’m keeping it as simple as I can this year, embracing this season in life as well as the season I love.
What will you be doing this autumn? Let me know in a comment below!
xoxo, Caryn
