Champagne + Wedding Daydreams

Hello all! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted, because it’s been quite a busy two weeks – we traveled up to wine country for a birthday in the family, and last weekend I had the privilege of being my best friend’s maid of honor for her wedding. So eventful and busy, but we had so much fun.

Two weeks ago, we headed up to Guerneville to our family home to celebrate a birthday. We made cookies, drank champagne and ate delicious deli sandwiches on the deck of Korbel Winery, and we waded in the Russian River.

It was so much fun to spend time as a family and to get to spend some quality time with my niece, who is just 5 months old!

Last weekend, we went back to my hometown to witness my closest friend marry the love of her life. The gazebo where they got married under is gorgeous, and it was so much fun to spend time in the local park we all used to hang out in when we were younger. It brought back memories and we also made new ones!

Look at that cake! I’m drooling just looking at it! They had a delicious art-deco-meets-geode cake, and it was beautiful. They supplemented with multiple types of cupcakes (the cookies and cream cupcake was so good!). They had a Disney + Pixar’s Up theme weaved throughout their ceremony and reception, which was an adorable touch.

I am so happy for her and her new husband (!!!) and seeing them happy and settled just makes me that much more excited for our upcoming nuptials. The sense of community and love was overwhelming in a good way, and I left the day feeling so content.

We get to take a little break from the busy season and finally enjoy our beach town in summertime, which will help me feel so joyful. This girl can’t wait to take her bikini and a good book to the beach! Leave me book recommendations in a comment below. 🙂

xoxo
