Hello, lovelies! It’s been a bit since I’ve posted on here, so I figured it was time for a bit of an update. We’ve been busy, busy with family, wedding planning, and friends (and helping friends with wedding planning! So many weddings this year!). So when we get the chance, we’ve been laying low and being homebodies, which is new and actually I’ve been enjoying it more as life gets more hectic.
During the week, we have been spending more nights at home, finding peace and relaxation in our space. For me, defining our space and creating a home that is aesthetically pleasing while also super functional has been a new, fun challenge. I’m trying to find our style and aesthetic as a soon-to-be-married couple, and then working to donate what we don’t need and only make purchases that will truly contribute to our goals. I have found that I really like a bohemian-meets-farmhouse style, and our bedroom is certainly getting there! I recently bought that lumbar pillow from Target (read: my second home), and I’m obsessed!
When we are not at home or at a wedding/baby/family event, we have been taking long walks in our hometown of Santa Cruz. After 5 years, I am really starting to feel like a local, and I love it! I’ve been California dreamin’ in the sense that I have been working past sundown every day and cannot wait until this weekend’s time change, when I will finally be able to resume my after-work beach walks – they are so relaxing.
How do you relax after a long day of work?
Have a wonderful day! I’ll try to post more often!
xoxo
