The forest is a place of pure magic for me. It is where’s I find my calm, my inspiration, and it is home to so many amazing plants and animals. It is where I find that my soul is happiest.
As John Muir, author and naturalist, once said, “Come to the woods, for here is rest.” It is so true, but there is also abundant life. From the yellow banana slugs on the forest floor, to the birds chattering in the trees, to the funghi… so much funghi. Take a look:
I wasn’t kidding when I said there was a lot of funghi! When it’s rained recently, and the forest floor holds so much moisture in, the mushrooms, lichen, and various funghi come out to play. I don’t know all their names and I definitely never try to eat them, but my camera and I admire their beauty and splendor! They are all so unique and it’s fun keeping your eye out for them on the trail!
The light coming through the trees was particularly spectacular lastSjnday morning when we were hiking around. It was a short and sweet hike that felt like such a wonderful gift from nature.
I mean, look at that. It is stunning! It was the most peaceful and serene morning. Where do you go to give your soul rest and inspiration?
xoxo
